“Firefighting tenders reacted swiftly and prevented a fire in the landing gear, averting a major accident. All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were evacuated safely through inflatable slides,” Saifullah said.

In an official statement, Saudi Airlines further clarified: “Our flight SV792 en route from Riyadh to Peshawar experienced smoke from a tire upon landing at Peshawar International Airport. The flight came to an immediate halt, was hit.” authorities concerned and all guests and staff were safely evacuated via evacuation slide .” Complete maintenance and inspections are carried out to ensure safety.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, no injuries were reported. The quick actions of the CAA fire brigade were critical in averting a potential disaster. Peshawar airport officials confirmed as reported by PTI that the airport is fully operational and all flights will proceed as scheduled.
