Tata Play, which was formerly known as Tata Sky, has partnered with Amazon Prime to make its content available to DTH and Binge pack consumers. In addition to its current DTH plans, which grant access to TV channels, the company is now offering Amazon Prime Lite subscriptions. With its new Binge packs, users may choose to subscribe to any six apps or all 33 OTT platforms for a reduced monthly fee. Through Tata Play DTH, consumers of Tata Play can also take advantage of a limited-time promotional offer to subscribe to Amazon Prime for a whole year.
“While on the one hand, Tata Play’s robust content distribution network will help in expanding Amazon Prime’s outreach to newer audience segments, on the other hand, addition of Prime Lite Membership with Tata Play will make Binge a more compelling proposition,” stated Harit Nagpal, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Play, in explaining the rationale behind the partnership.
Users can now subscribe to DTH or Binge services with Amazon Prime using the new offerings. Customers of Tata Play DTH can add Prime Video in several packs, starting at Rs. 199 per month, in addition to the TV channels of their choice. Subscribers to Tata Play Binge’s Prime Lite program can now choose between two different Prime Lite options. Customers can pay Rs. 349 per month to access all 33 OTT platforms and Prime Video, or they can pay Rs. 199 per month to subscribe to six OTT applications, which also include Prime Video.
Tata Play subscribers may watch the whole library of TV episodes and films on Prime Video, including original series like Panchayat, Mirzapur, The Family Man, Dhootha, Farzi, and more, with an Amazon Prime Lite membership. Any two displays can be used by viewers to see material. In addition, Prime Lite users will receive additional perks including free unlimited same-day delivery on over a million products and free next-day delivery on over four million products when they shop on Amazon. Additionally, they will receive five percent cashback when using the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, early access to sales, and unique bargains.
It’s interesting to note that Tata Play Binge gives users the option to select their first preferred OTT platform selection. If customers choose not to watch the remaining content and pay Rs. 199 per month, the portal would let them select up to six OTT platforms. There will be over thirty national, international, and regional apps available for users to select from.
